The IEEE Computer Society (CS) Kerala Chapter is an active part of the IEEE Kerala Section. It was formed in 1985 and is now the largest Computer Society Chapter in the world, with 48 Student Branch Chapters and over 2,400 members as of 2025. The Chapter works closely with its Student Branch Chapters and leads key events like the All Kerala Computer Society Student Convention (AKCSSC), which has been running annually since 2015. In 2023, it also hosted the All India Computer Society Student and Young Professional Congress (AICSSYC-23). The Chapter’s success is thanks to its dedicated volunteers, many of whom hold important roles in the wider IEEE community. Over the years, the Chapter has received several awards, including the IEEE Computer Society (Global) Outstanding Chapter Award in 2018, the Early Career Professionals Engagement in Outstanding Chapter Award in 2022, and the IEEE Kerala Section’s Outstanding Large Society Chapter Award in 2023. With its passion and commitment, the IEEE CS Kerala Chapter continues to make a positive impact and inspire others in the IEEE community.
